About Lauren
Since launching Lauren Silby Studio in January 2023, Lauren has led the architectural delivery of a prestigious, private residential project on Eaton Square in London. This commission has involved the full refurbishment and high-end interior fit-out of two six-storey townhouses - see the 'Projects' section for further details.

Lauren qualified as an architect in 2012 at the University of Nottingham and went on to gain architectural experience working at several practices in London, including Marek Wojciechowski Architects, MSMR Architects and Formation Architects. Lauren has worked on projects ranging from bespoke family homes and heritage projects to multi-unit developments for private clients, developers and London estates, from concept through to completion, with a particular emphasis on technical design and construction delivery.
Lauren also contributes to architectural education as a Part 3 Oral Examiner at the University of Westminster.
In December 2021, Lauren undertook an extraordinary personal challenge: the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. The challenge was a 3,000-mile ocean rowing race from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua in the Carribean, as part of a four-person crew, which took two years to train and prepare for, during the Covid pandemic, and having never rowed on water before signing up for the challenge! Completing the crossing in 42 days, 4 hours and 54 minutes, Lauren's team became the first mixed crew of three women and one man to row an ocean. Lauren's team raised money for three charities which support the homelessness community, and Lauren was proud to be sponsored by and partner with a number of construction industry partners.
